Refund and Cancellation Policy

Durga Saptashati Foundation ("Durga Sapatashati NGO", "we", "us", or "our") sincerely thanks you for your generous contributions that support our charitable initiatives.

We recognise that errors in donations can happen and are committed to addressing such situations transparently.

This Refund and Cancellation Policy governs the circumstances under which a refund may be requested and processed.

By making a donation through https://www.saptashati.org/, you acknowledge and agree to the terms outlined below.

1. Non-Refundable Nature of Donations

All donations made to the Durga Saptashati Foundation are voluntary, irrevocable, and non-refundable, unless under specific conditions described in this policy.

Donations are immediately put to work for charitable purposes and projects.

2. Time Limit for Refund Requests

• Refund requests must be submitted within 7 (seven) business days from the date of the donation transaction.
• Refund requests received after this period will not be entertained.

3. Duplicate or Erroneous Transactions

• In case of a duplicate donation or donation error, donors must notify us by writing to [support@saptashati.org] within 7 business days.

• The email should include:
  • Donor's full name,
  • Date and amount of donation,
  • Mode of payment,
  • Transaction reference number,
  • Proof of payment,
  • Reason for refund.

Upon successful verification, an eligible refund will be initiated.

4. Unauthorised Transactions

If you suspect that your personal or financial information was misused to make a donation without your consent, please contact us immediately.

Upon verifying the claim, a refund will be processed promptly.

5. Tax Certificate Issuance and Refunds

• No refund requests will be accepted once an 80G tax exemption certificate has been generated and issued in the donor’s name.
• This is in compliance with Indian taxation and regulatory requirements.

6. Transaction Failures

• For failed or incomplete transactions where the donor’s account is debited without confirmation, donors are advised to first approach their bank/payment provider.
• Most such amounts are reversed automatically within 7–10 working days by the bank/payment gateway.
• Durga Sapatashati NGO will provide necessary support documents if requested.

7. Bank Charges on Refunds

In case a refund is approved, any applicable bank charges, payment gateway charges, or service fees incurred during the refund process will be deducted from the refundable amount.

8. Refund Mode and Timelines

• Refunds, where approved, will be processed through the original mode of payment only.
• Please allow 10–15 working days for the refund to reflect in your account, depending on the payment processing system.

9. No Refund for Utilised Donations

• Donations, once utilised, disbursed, or committed towards specific charitable projects, will not be refunded.
• Durga Sapatashati NGO reserves the right to allocate donations to programs as per organisational priorities.

10. Changes to This Policy

Durga Saptashati Foundation reserves the right to amend this Refund and Cancellation Policy without prior notice.
