SELF DEFENCE CAMP AT DURGA SAPTASHATI FOUNDATION DWARKA -2-01-2026
Durga Saptashati Foundation had set up a Self Defence Camp at it’s NGO office wherein the Delhi Police Team- Dwarka had provided highly educative training to the young NGO children.
The Team of Durga Saptashati welcomed the Dwarka Police Team wholeheartedly, as Mr. Anil Yadav Ji (Head Constable), accompanied by Ms. Poonam Ji, Ms. Sunita Kumari Ji, and Ms. Komal Meena Ji (Female Head Constables) arrived at the NGO office with smile on their faces & compassion in their hearts!
The Delhi Police Team had first honoured the NGO children with Medals- for their outstanding dance performances on “Operation Sindoor” in the recent past! Then they went on to impart the Self Defence Training to the children- all within the age groups of 8 years to 16 years. The children seemed to grasp pretty well- what they were being taught, as the Police Team had established a rapport & connection instantly with them. The power of a Punch was demonstrated, which included how to create a punch with your fist- for self-defence, & which body parts to be targeted for maximum impact. The difference between a good touch & a bad touch was taught through demonstration on a young girl- for children’s easy understanding. The children were taught in a friendly manner- the art of self protection, while also being trained to analyse a difficult situation or an encounter. They were asked not to fear & to share with their parents any unpleasant touch or an encounter which they apprehended.
Also they were made to feel very much at home by the Police Team & the conventional fear of Police that is being harboured everywhere- was instantly removed by the warmth the Police Team displayed.
This Self Defence comp in Dwarka proved highly beneficial at Durga Saptashati Foundation- which is a Social Welfare & Development NGO at Dwarka.
