Education For Every Kids

When we talk about education, we often talk in big ideas. Futures. Opportunities. Change. But on the ground, education usually breaks down for very small reasons.

A child misses school because fees were due. Another falls behind because no one at home can help with homework. Some children simply stop going because they feel lost and embarrassed in class. None of this happens overnight. It happens quietly, over time.

At Durga Saptashati Foundation, we see this closely. Many children want to study. Their families want them to study too. What they lack is support: practical support that helps them stay in school, understand lessons, and feel that learning is meant for them.

Education for Every Kid Initiative

Sandhya Singh, the visionary behind the Durga Sapatashati Foundation firmly believes that kids only need a little nudge in the right direction and the best tool to do that is accessible, quality, and free education. Many children in our country don’t get that opportunity and stay stuck in the vicious loop of poverty, hunger, and low quality of life.

Our NGO for kids’ education in Delhi, is on a mission to change this. We offer free after school tuition classes, make school supplies available, run nutritious food drives, organise frequent free health camps, and lastly spread awareness about the need for education amongst the marginalised families in and around Dwarka. We also work closely with parents because what looks simple from the outside can quietly become a barrier for them. So they need help understanding it.

Parents with no formal education do not understand school systems, paperwork, or expectations. That’s why when parents feel supported, children feel steadier. Education works better when the family is part of the process.

We are working for our collective future!

Learning is not only about exams. Children need room to express themselves.Simple shared experiences make a real difference. When children draw together, celebrate festivals, or spend time in small groups, they begin to relax and express themselves. They feel seen. That comfort slowly turns into confidence, and when children feel they belong, learning stops feeling intimidating and starts feeling possible.

We don’t expect instant results. Progress in education is slow and uneven. Some children improve quickly. Others take longer. What matters is that they continue. That they don’t drop out simply because no one noticed they were struggling.

At Durga Saptashati Foundation, education is treated as continuity, not a one-time effort. Staying with a child matters as much as starting with them.

Education for every kid initiative by Sandhya Singh is not about creating success stories. It is about making sure children are not quietly excluded from something they deserve. When children are given steady support, they find their own way forward.
That is the work. And it continues.
